Variable Weight Products
What are variable weight products?
Products, such as meats and cheeses that may vary by weight.
How are variable weight products charged?
Variable weight products always have a maximum weight listed on the product page and you will be temporarily charged based on the largest possible size offered.
Once the product is prepared for shipping, it is weighed and the adjusted weight will be credited back to your credit card.
Example:
A cheese is priced at $10 per pound with a maximum weight of 2 pounds.
You will be temporarily charged $20 ($10/pound x 2 pounds).
Once the item is weighed for shipping, the chunk of cheese weighs 1.5 pounds. The adjusted cost of $5.00 (maximum amount charged minus actual charge after weight) will be credited back to your original method of payment ($20-$15).
